The RFTHF hosts three events to support the Foundation’s funds. These charity events also provide a way to highlight the versatility of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.

This one-day show features Missouri Fox Trotting Horse performance and Open Gaited Breed Model and Versatility Classes. Various hi-point awards are offered. Our goal is to make the Region 4 Fall Festival an exhibitor friendly, competitive, yet fun show that encourages exhibitors to try new classes and builds camaraderie among attendees. Our Vision for the Region 4 Fall Festival
•To provide an exhibitor friendly, cost effective event focused on the amateur and youth rider.
•To support Missouri Fox Trotting Horse professionals by providing an additional opportunity for their clients to show.
•To support all areas of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse show experience by including performance and versatility classes.
•To be innovative with our class offerings and hi-point competitions.
•To promote the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.
A charity trail ride combining the joy of trail riding and the family fun of a tailgate party, this event is held in odd years with the location changing each year. The weekend ride combines clinics, seminars, a trail ride scavenger hunt and much more. The next Trailgait will be in 2025.
Our vision for Trailgait
- To provide education opportunities for equestrians
- To create a positive, supportive weekend event that creates a love for trail riding
- To encourage youth participation in trail riding by creating an event with activities for the whole family
- To promote the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse
We are excited to add this show to our charity event lineup in 2024. The Spring kickoff will be a low key, friendly show organized to provide an opportunity for exhibitors to prepare their horses for the show season and to create a positive environment to promote the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse. - To support the growth of amateur and youth show participation in horse shows by providing a low-cost showing opportunity.
- To support Missouri Fox Trotting Horse professionals by providing an additional opportunity for their clients to show.
- To encourage participation in a different types of classes including model, performance and versatility.
- To promote the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse.
